How to use your KoalaCloth

Our simple two-cloth method that takes thirty seconds, uses only water and leaves every surface gleaming. Here's exactly how to do it.

The two-cloth method, in one sentence.

Use the Mini or LITE (slightly damp) to lift the dirt & clean the surface first — then follow with the XXL (completely dry) to soak up every last drop and leave the surface streak-free. That's the whole secret.

Why two cloths beat one.

The XXL is wonderfully absorbent — that's the whole point. But once it's saturated, it can feel heavy, especially for hands with arthritis or a sore wrist. The fix isn't a different cloth. It's a different order.

By doing the lifting with the wet Mini/LITE and the drying with the dry KoalaCloth XXL, you split the workload. Each cloth does what it's best at and the surface ends up cleaner than either could manage alone.

  • Easier on wrists and hands — no wringing out a heavy wet cloth.
  • The dry XXL pulls every droplet, preventing the watermarks that streak when a damp cloth alone is used.
  • Faster, too. Most people finish a dirty window in under a minute.

Common Questions

Q1) Do I really not need any spray or chemical?

No spray needed. The microfibre structure lifts grime mechanically — water is the only thing required. For especially heavy soap scum on a first clean, a single pre-wash with warm water will get you to a baseline; daily wipe-downs after that keep it perfect.

Q2) Can I just use the XXL on its own?

You can and many people do. But once the XXL fills with water it becomes harder to wring out and that's when streaks can appear. The two-cloth method keeps one cloth dry at all times — that's what gives you the streak-free finish.

Q3) What surfaces can I use it on?

Glass, mirrors, shower screens, chrome and stainless taps, stone benchtops, induction cooktops, splashbacks, car windows and bodywork, plantation shutters, TV screens and more. If it's smooth and gets dirty, KoalaCloth will clean it.

Q4) My XXL feels heavy when wet — is that normal?

Yes — that weight is the cloth doing its job, holding all the water it's pulled off the surface. That's exactly why we recommend the two-cloth method: let the Mini or LITE do the wet work and keep the XXL dry for the streak-free finish.
